With so many plant products and plant suppliers on the market it can be overwhelming to know which companies are worth your time and money. While some suppliers offer superior quality products, there are many who offer suboptimal or nearly worthless products.

We believe that a “good” supplier provides plant products that are truly beneficial to making your plant caring simpler and more efficient. Beyond this, there are many products on the market that are not “essential” but make certain plant-related tasks much simpler.

Finding quality plant product suppliers is not the easiest task today. With so many available suppliers, making sure the ones you’ve decided on are reliable and provide good service is important. Certain products are harder to source from reputable suppliers than others. Plant seeds, for example, are often hard to find quality suppliers for. This is especially true if you’re looking for rarer plant seeds than common herbs and vegetables.

So how do you know which products are worth it? That’s where we come in!

Plant Product Review Criteria

When it comes to product products and their suppliers, we make recommendations based on products and suppliers that we have had success with and trust. Occasionally, we’ll recommend products that are highly rated in the plant community that we haven’t had success with.

With that said, we do not recommend any product or supplier we wouldn’t trust ourselves.

In each plant product review, we’ll be looking at seven key factors: Cost, Quality, Function, Ease of Use, Reliability, Variety, and Overall Value. We believe objectivity is very valuable when it comes to quality product reviews and, as a result, we aim to be as objective and honest as possible while reviewing and recommending products to our readers.

Below is a quick outline of how the seven factors mentioned above will be assessed for each product that we review.

Key Factors Reviewed

Cost

The cost of the product will be covered as well as any extra costs associated with the product, if applicable.

The cost of a product or a  will likely make or break your decision to purchase from them. For this reason, no good supplier review would be complete without looking at the prices a supplier has their products listed at.

Quality

The overall quality of the product will be discussed with regard to things such as materials or robustness of construction.

The quality of products offered by a supplier is one of the most important aspects of choosing a quality botany product supplier. If the quality of the products you order is subpar, you’ll regret your purchase. This criteria is based upon examining the quality of the products offered by the supplier in question.

Function

The functionality of product will be covered and discussed. Any tips and tricks we've found to be helpful when using the product will be covered as well.

A product is only effective if it performs its intended function. Beyond that, the ease and efficiency with which it accomplishes its task is also important. The most beautifully crafted product in the world is useless if it doesn’t do its job.

Ease of Use

The ease of use and overall utility of the product will be covered in this section. Any additional tips and tricks to improve ease of use will be covered as well.

Ease of use is essential to creating a quality product that people are going to resonate with and enjoy using. If the product is too cumbersome or overly complicated, people will struggle to use it and move onto another, more user-friendly product.

Reliability

The product's reliability will be covered and discussed. Common issues we've experienced will be covered as well.

Reliability is important when making a purchase. Purchasing a product that doesn’t last long is not ideal. In addition, product reliability is based on how well the product accomplishes its intended purpose.

Variety

The product's reliability will be covered and discussed. Common issues we've experienced will be covered as well.

For plant products, variety include different versions of the same product. For plant suppliers, it can mean different plant species or other services. Variety can be helpful depending on the product if it offers versions of the product that increase functionality or add novel functions.

Overall Value

The overall value of the product will be summarized and reviewed in light of the other aspects.

The overall value of a product is what will determine if you feel it is right for you and your desired pursuits. A broad strokes review of all of the product’s attributes and considerations gives a recap of the review and, hopefully, helps to make a decision as to whether the product is right for you!

Below is a list of plant product reviews where we put these review criteria to work!
